There are now three versatile and rugged Beseler 23CIII-XL Enlargers, each offering a new modularity feature similar to that found in the Beseler 4x5 system. The 23CIII condenser, dichro and the new variable contrast lamphouses are now easily interchanged on the redesigned 23CIII-XL Chassis. The 23CIII-XL offers a uniquely designed negative stage control which makes alignment easier and more precise than ever before. Improved rack-and-pinion elevation provides exceptionally smooth magnification adjustments while a new, positive locking mechanism assures that magnification settings do not shift during focus or exposure. The extra long, rigid twin girder construction helps reduce vibrations while allowing prints larger than 16"x20" on the baseboard from the 35mm format. The projection assembly can be tilted for wall projection while a tilting lens stage permits distortion correction. A below the lens filter holder accommodates variable contrast or special effect filters. Focusing is accomplished with either left or right handed controls. The sturdy 16"x25½" white laminated baseboard provides ample work space. All Beseler 23CIII-XL Enlargers are factory aligned using the most up-to-date laser technology. All 23CIII lamphouses accept formats up to and including a full 6x9cm
