The Contax Preview II camera is designed for
scene checking in professional assignments.
The idea behind this camera is that the photographer will select the lens and attach it to the Preview II for a look at the finished picture before the actual s
hoot begins. Lighting may be checked, a stray electrical cord or some other easily overlooked flaw can be easily seen and corrected prior to the shoot.
A Polaroid back by other manufacturers require the dedication of a camera body to the back. If you
remove the back from this camera you'll lose a sheet of film every time. Plus, you must add the price of the dedicated camera body to the Polaroid camera back price. the combination of these two items totals more than the price of the Contax Preview II al
one.
The Preview II is an SLR camera with an adjustable shutter speed from Bulb, up to 1/4000 second. Most importantly, the X sync shutter speed is 1/250 second and the Preview II has a PC connector included. A complete mirror box is incorporated and
a supplied right angle viewfinder makes the image correct left to right.
