The GY-DV300U is a unique DV camcorder. Utilizing 1/3" IT (Interline Transfer) chips designed after the same chips used in JVCs broadcast (KY) line of cameras, these high density CCDs process a superb image quality. Not only can you obtain a high quality
video image, but an optional adapter allows live MPEG-4 web streaming.

- With Intra-frame 5:1 compression and 4:1:1 color sampling. A 10-micron track pitch provides superior picture quality, superb multi-generation capability and production flexibility.
- Imagers
- The GY-DV300U features three 1/3" high density CCDs. Based on JVC's broadcast camera CCDs, the GY-DV300Us imagers operate at 7 MHz (compared to most camcorders in this price range which operate at 2 MHz).
- 4:3/16:9 Switchable
- Image aspect ratio is switchable from the native 4:3 aspect to 16:9 letterbox.
- PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) Stereo Audio
- Records two channels of audio with the 48kHz/16-bit or 32kHz/12-bit mode. Audio Dub is possible when the tape is recorded in the 32kHz/12-bit mode.
- Dual XLR Audio Inputs
- For connecting professional microphones. The input level can be selected from Mic/Line/Mic attenuator positions. 48v DC (Phantom) power can be supplied. Input 1 audio can be recorded on either CH1, or CH1 and CH2 audio tracks (selected by switch).
- Optical Image Stabilization
- This high quality system instantly corrects camera shake, providing smooth stable pictures. The image stabilizer system functions in both video and photo shooting modes.
- IEEE-1394
- The Firewire DV I/O interface (IEEE-1394) provides a high-speed, bi-directional digital link between camcorders or VCRs for digital to digital editing, which delivers unmatched versatility and performance.
