All-metal, Kardan M uses Linhof's 18" profile rail, which is fully geared over its full length. Direct displacements, rise/fall, shift, yaw-free direct movements are easily accomplished to the limits of the image field. The calibrated rear focus allows for simple and fast depth of field calculations with the included Linhof depth of field chart or with the optional Rodenstock calculator. The Kardan M uses a flat board for lenses down to 90 mm and a recessed board for 55 to 75 mm lenses. A special adapter board accepts lenses from 35 to 47mm. The M accepts all of the accessories from the modular Kardan GT. The new Linhof Kardan M is a camera system at a low price. The Kardan M offers fully calibrated movements front and back for focusing, tilt, swing and shifts. The front and rear standards have 70 degree of center tilt and 360 degree of swing to allow the camera to fold flat when the bellows is disconnected from one standard. Both standards have 3.3" of rise/fall which can be increased to 6.6" with a set of accessory rods.
