Weighing in at 4 1/2 pounds, the P404 is by far our lightest and most compact power supply. It can easily be mounted on a light stand stand using the optional R4161 Stand Bracket, keeping it off the floor and putting the controls at a convenient level.
With 400 watt-seconds to split between two lampheads, the P404 is commonly used by photographers that need lower power systems when shooting with digital cameras. A power trim allows infinite adjustments through a four f/stop range, with the ability to apply the full 400 w-s to a single lamphead or trim it down to as little as 12.5 w-s split between two heads.
For portraiture, the 404RB Ratio Box can be added to provide 300 w-s on the main lamphead while the other lamphead supplies 50 w-s to a background light. Using the R5152 "Y" Cable on the main outlet will allow 300 w-s to be evenly split between a main and fill lamphead.
The P404 is compatible with all Series 500 Lampheads and related light modifiers.
