Sony PD150 DVCAM | $3179.95 | | |
The DSR-PD150 incorporates three newly developed 1/3" CCDs with 380,000 pixels (effective 340,000 pixels). The 1/3" size contributes the camcorder to record 530 lines of horizontal resolution, and to the high sensitivity, signal-to-noise ratio. These CCDs
are capable of both interlace scan and progressive scan, which is useful for recording still images or shooting a moving subject.
Features- Mini DVCAM and Mini DV Recording. With the DSR-PD150 you have the capability to Record DVCAM or DV format, on the Mini tape size. The DVCAM format records a highly reliable professional video and audio. For audio, an audio lock mode is used. In the DV format you can record in SP mode only.
- Aspherical Ground Glass Lens Professional quality Optics provides exceptional detail and clarity that reduces optical distortion, and provides better corner to corner focus.
- The DSR-PD150 has three 1/3" Advanced HAD CCD's. The high quality of the HAD design CCD imager reduces noise in the video signal to improve the signal-to-noise ratio.
- PCM Stereo Audio (Pulse Code Modulation) records two channels of audio with the 48kHz/16-bit or 32kHz/12-bit mode. Audio Dub is possible when the tape is recorded in the 32kHz/12-bit mode.
- XLR Audio Inputs: This camcorder features dual XLR audio inputs for connecting professional microphones. The input level can be selected from Mic/Line/Mic Attenuator positions. 48 V DC power can be supplied. Input 1 audio can be recorded on either CH1,or CH1 and CH2 audio tracks (selected by switch).
- Time Code Preset: The time code can be preset using any number in Hour/Minute/Second/Frame. The time code mode can be selected between "rec-run" or "free run." User bits can also be set.
- Optical Super Steady Shot Picture Stabilization Eliminates high frequency shake and vibration without compromising any picture quality it uses motion sensors and a floating lens for better performance even in difficult shooting situations.
- Digital Program Editing This feature allows you to edit the tape using the i.Link (iEEE-1394)interface. After connecting the camcorder to a compatible VCR via i.Link (iEEE-1394) cable and setting in and out points for up to 20 programs, the camcorder and VCR will automatically edit the selected portions.
- Analog To Digital Conversion with Pass Through The camcorders analog inputs feature a built-in Analog to Digital converter that will convert your analog video/audio to a digital signal that can either be recorded to tape or passed-through the i.Link interface to a compatible computer.
- i.Link DV Interface (IEEE-1394): The i.Link DV In/Out interface (IEEE-1394) provides a high-speed, bi-directional digital link between camcorders or VCR's for digital to digital editing, which delivers unmatched versatility and performance.
- Zoom: This Camcorder features a manual 12 x Optical, 48 x Digital Zoom which allows you to Zoom in on subjects or pull back for wide shots. The Precision Digital Zoom technology means that extreme digital zooming is cleaner and clearer than ever before, with less blocking and distortion than most other types of digital zoom.
- Precision Black & White Viewfinder: The 0.4 black and white LCD viewfinder provides 500 lines of horizontal resolution. This enables easier manual focussing.
- Progressive Scan CCD: System Progressive Scan CCD's capture a complete frame of video rather than interlacing two separate fields to produce a video frame. This high performance system eliminates the stair stepping effect that can be seen in standard interlaced systems when capturing still images. The images will be sharp and clear with excellent definition.
- Digital Still Camera(DSC) Function allows you to Capture high quality VGA (640 x 480) resolution JPEG file digital still images, and store them on to the supplied 4MB Memory Stick digital media.
- 2.5" LCD Screen(with 200,000 pixels): The color LCD monitor swivels 270 degrees and viewing at any angle provides excellent viewing clarity with the improved high resolution, and even goes into the "mirror mode" where the subjects can see themselves or checking the playback picture on location. It is also helpful in setting the menu or audio recording levels, as well as monitoring the camera status.
- Interval Recording allows the user to record video in preset intervals that range from every 30 sec, 1, 5, 10 minutes for selectable lengths of .5, 1, 1.5 or 2 seconds.
- Manual Functions: In addition to the automatic functions, the DSR-PD150 has various manual adjustments Zoom, Focus, Iris, Shutter speed, Gain, AE (Auto Exposure)Shift, White Balance, Custom Preset (Color Level, Sharpness, White Balance Shift, AGC Limit), ND Filters (1/4 and 1/32), Spotlight Button, Audio Recording Level.
- Info-Lithium Battery with AccuPower: The Lithium batteries can be recharged at any time without developing any memory effect, and will provide longer battery life.
- AccuPower Meter is a system that continuously displays the amount of battery time remaining in minutes in the viewfinder or LCD.
